The mission of the Structures & Grounds Division is to provide outstanding public services with pride and dedication for the residents of Barnstable, our visitors and our colleagues in municipal employment while protecting and maintaining the town’s buildings, parks, cemeteries, marinas, recreational and community facilities and resources. We strive to accomplish this in a manner that maximizes safety, life, utility and enhances the town’s unique environmental and aesthetic qualities. Our goal is to construct, renovate and maintain our facilities in the most responsive, efficacious and cost effective manner without diminishing the quality we seek to implement. We place high priority on energy efficiency and conservation, the possibility of energy generation and the use of renewable energy in all projects possible.
