Licensed
Contractors
Contractors are licensed by the town through the DPW to perform road openings on town ways. Only licensed
contractors may work in the town right of way.
Roads often are opened to install or work on driveways and
underground utilities. Any area within the town layout or right
of way that is dug by machine to a depth of more than one foot
requires a permit from the town.
